We, at LearningGNM.com know that you care how information about you is used and shared. Therefore we make a strong commitment to protect and respect the privacy principles regarding the personal information that you provide. The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to explain the types of information we obtain about visitors to our website, how the information is collected, how it is used, and how visitors can restrict its use or disclosure. What types of information is collected?
Personal information - this is any information concerning an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information that tells us specifically who a person is, such as a person's name, telephone number, e-mail address, home or shipping address etc. Such information is provided by our clients as part of our normal product ordering processes.
Cookies - this is collected visitor information that does not in and of itself identify a specific person. This information might include your computer's IP address, search terms, domain names, browser types and whether a reader is a returning visitor. How is this information collected?
We collect personal information throughout several main information streams:
1.) The first information input is provided by any visitor who gives us his or her personal information on a voluntary basis. We record your name and e-mail address in order to communicate with you, to keep track of your LearningGNM Event registration(s) and payment(s) so that we have at all times a record of your participation in our activities.
2.) The second input can be your subscription to our mailing lists (in one of 6 geographical regions) which consists of the consentual recording of your e-mail address and rudimentary location information (validated by you via e-mail). This personal information is used solely to send periodic LearningGNM News and Notices to you and is not shared with anyone outside the LearningGNM organization. We sometimes make use of our GNM News subscription lists to also provide you with information about new publications or upcoming GNM lectures, seminars or workshops.
3.) Thirdly, a visitor who orders one of our GNM publications or DVDs and/or registers for a GNM Event must of necessity provide us with some personal contact information.
How do we use your personal information?
If you submit personal information, you agree that we may keep a record of this personal information. These records are strictly for internal use by LearningGNM. Furthermore, the personal information that is collected by us are web shop ordering information that is used to fulfill sales and teaching obligations.
How secure is your personal contact and/or payment information in our hands?
We ensure the security of your information during transmission to PayPal by using Secure Sockets Layer software (SSL). This process encrypts information of your input. At your option, we can also permit you to communicate payment details to us verbally. We do this only for the purpose of collecting any payment that is due to us and that is not collected in other ways. We do not sell, trade, rent or disclose individually-identifiable information obtained about our clients and website visitors to anyone outside of LearningGNM, except in the unlikely case where it is required by law, regulation, court order or other legal process.
